Who We Are
Established in 2004, SELA embarked on a mission to transform education in response to the evolving needs of today's society. SELA is committed to providing a top-quality, immersive academic program tailored for English-speaking children aged between 3 months and 6th grade. Our campuses are strategically situated in two convenient South Shore locations, Hingham-Norwell.

SELA's Unique Model

Through full language immersion and a rigorous academic curriculum, the ultimate goal is to cultivate a lasting passion for lifelong learning.
Our Curriculum
SELA offers a vertically coherent curriculum aligned to enhance students' learning from one year to the next and equip them with the necessary skills for succeeding at all academic levels.

Global Citizenship
SELA places a strong emphasis on guiding our students in building a profound understanding of the world at large, recognizing the interconnected nature of global challenges, and realizing their responsibility and ability to actively participate in the global community.
Immersion
At SELA, students are taught in Spanish and Mandarin. Younger students are immersed in Spanish for all subjects, benefitting from improved syntax and fluent language skills. English-speaking students adapt well to the language switching, enhancing their cognitive abilities to discern when to use each language for effective communication.
Creative
SELA encourages the development of innovation skills through experimentation and learning from trial and error, enabling students to cultivate their natural creativity and curiosity.Measures of Success
Our school strongly emphasizes student learning beyond standardized tests, rather SELA Elementary uses the Terranova and LAS assessments to evaluate school performance and improve academic development among students.
In the Terra Nova assessment, SELA Elementary students have achieved scores that surpass the national average in 100% of English, Social Studies, and Science subjects and 93% of Mathematics across all grade levels. Moreover, students consistently graduate at least two grade levels ahead in all academic areas.
